Betty Irene Roberts

Betty Irene Roberts, 85 of Davisville, W.Va. passed away Sunday, July 7, 2013 at her residence.She was born January 7, 1928 in Ritchie County, W.Va. a daughter of the late Romeo and Dessie Hendrickson Bumgardner. She was a graduate of Harrisville High School. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, baking, cooking and reading. She was a member of the Community of Christ Church.Betty is survived by two daughters, Dianna Davis of Davisville, W.Va. and Linda Husk of Marietta, Ohio; a son, Phillip Roberts (Jacqueline) of Parkersburg; two sisters, Hilda Deem of Connecticut, and Norma Hoover of Harrisville, W.Va.; a brother, Russell Bumgardner (Dorothy) of Canton, Ohio; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Kermit W. Roberts in 1983; and two brothers, Harold and Carl Bumgardner.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 11, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg with Elder Gene Bowie and Elder James Withee officiating. Burial will follow at King Knob Cemetery in Ritchie County, W.Va. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.The family wishes to thank Gentiva Home Healthcare and Amedisys Hospice for the great care given to Betty.
