Betty Oma Lee, 84 formerly of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Sept. 25, 2011 at Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility. She was born April 18, 1927 in Parkersburg a daughter of the late John and Laura Davis Burchard. She had worked at Misty Manufacturing, had worked at McCrory's as lunch counter manager, and retired as manager of the snack bar at Emerson Bowling Lanes and was a member of the American Legion Post 15 Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed knitting, bowling and traveling. Betty will be sadly missed by those who are surviving her; son, Terry Lee and wife, Cindy of Vienna, W.Va.; a sister, Connie Lattea of Parkersburg, W.Va.; three grandchildren, Mallory Fields, Chad Lee, and Hannah Lee; three great-grandchildren, Zane Jackson, and Layla Jackson, and Theean Fields; and several nieces; nephews; and her many friends.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Lee; five brothers, Don, Johnnie, Melvin, Ralph and James Burchard; and two sisters, Mary Gowran, and Virginia Kidwiler.A memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Evangelist David Heater officiating. The family will receive friends and family one hour prior to the service.
