Betty Earle McConaha, 92, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away at her residence Friday, March 22, 2013 surrounded by her loving family.She was born August 5, 1920, in Clarington, Ohio, a daughter of the late John B. and Minnie Merkle Henthorn.Betty graduated from Clarington High School. She was a homemaker and worked at the bakery at Ralph's Market. She volunteered for Meals On Wheels and was a member of the First Lutheran Church in Parkersburg for many years.She is survived by one daughter, Patricia J. Earle of Harpers Ferry, W.Va.; two sons, Denton A. Earle and wife, Mary Lou, of North Olmstead, Ohio and William E. Earle and wife, Susan, of Acworth, Ga.; three step-daughters, Rosalie Mahoney of Parkersburg, W.Va., Wanda Tatman (Steve) also of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Sarah Johnston (John) of Blanchester, Ohio; two step-sons, Roger L. McConaha (Sharon) of Ripley, W.Va., and David W. McConaha of Parkersburg, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Stephanie Earle, Todd, Marc, and Gary Hall; several other grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Judd Earle of Parkersburg.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Donald C. Earle; her second husband, Leslie P. McConaha; one brother, John B. Henthorn Jr.; one sister, Zelia Howard; two step-sons, Charles L. and William R. McConaha; and a grandson, Michael McConaha.Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at First Lutheran Church, 19th Street, Parkersburg, W.Va. with the Rev. Ian Reid officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 400 Green St., Parkersburg, W.Va. and one hour prior to the service Tuesday at the church.The family requests that memorial contributions be made to the First Lutheran Church, 1701 19th St., Parkersburg, WV26101. Envelopes will be provided by the funeral home.
