Heflin, 83, of Parkersburg, W.Va. passed away Saturday, Feb. 1, 2014 at the residence of her daughter.She was born June 9, 1930, in Wood County, W.Va., a daughter of the late Thelma McDonald Baxter.Betty was a homemaker and a member of Calvary Memorial Church in Parkersburg.She is survived by three daughters, Linda Reeves of Valley City, N.D., Rhonda Leisure (Ray) of Parkersburg, W.Va., and Beth Hughes (Jerry) of Huntington, W.Va.; one son, Jeff Heflin of Huntington, W.Va.; two sisters, Sandra Shepherd and Karen Montgomery both of Columbus, Ohio; seven grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and six step-great-grandchildren. In addition to her mother she was preceded in death by her husband, Harley K. Heflin, Jr. who passed away Dec. 16, 2013.Funeral services for Betty will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 5, 2014 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Rob Collins officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
