Betty Lynn Givens, 68, of Washington, W.Va., passed away on Oct. 17, 2011 at Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born Oct. 26, 1942, in Houston, Texas, a daughter of the late Robert and Dorothy Carter Guthrie.Betty was a homemaker, a lifetime member of VFW Marietta Ladies Auxiliary, and DAV Parkersburg Ladies Auxiliary. She loved spending time with her family and grandchildren and enjoyed camping, canoeing, traveling to Michigan and her yearly family 4th of July party.She is survived by three daughters, Tracey Ulevich of East Pointe, Mich., Dawn Givens of Algonac, Mich., and Serena Grayson of Reno, Ohio; three sons, John Guthrie of Mayfield, Ky., Donald Givens Jr. and Ricky Givens, both of Marietta, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; two nieces; two nephews; and special friend, “Jimbo”.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Givens Sr.; sister, Peggy Rader; and grandson, Christopher Foxhall.Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 23, 2011 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St. Parkersburg, W.Va. with Pastor Rob Collins officiating. Interment will follow at Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
