Betty Jean Dennison

Betty Jean Sweet Dennison, 74, of Belpre, Ohio passed away Sunday, May 5, 2013 at the Camden-Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus. She was born January 4, 1939 in Rockland, Ohio, a daughter of the late Richard P. Sweet and Grace M. Palmer Sweet.Betty was a 1956 graduate of Belpre High School and was retired after twenty years of service with the Bureau of Public Debt in Parkersburg and had previously worked for the Belpre School System where she was a cook. She had attended the Porterfield Baptist Church and enjoyed music, collecting angels, enjoyed cooking and was the best candy maker. Betty loved her family and friends and she will be greatly missed.She is survived by her two sons, Randall “Randy” Lee Dennison (Karen) and Roger Jack Dennison (Sandra) all of Belpre, Ohio; her daughter, Rhonda Sue Fontz (David) of Pensacola, Florida; grandchildren, Kiana and Kylan Dennison of Belpre, Ohio, Hannah and Daniel David Fontz of Pensacola, Florida; and her beloved dog, Kobe. In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Jack W. Dennison; three brothers, Emerson, Kenneth, and Ralph Sweet, Jr.; and one sister, Dorothy Ryan. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 9, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Boulevard, Belpre with Pastor Dwight Davis officiating. Interment will follow at Rockland Cemetery in Belpre. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
