Betty Joan Brailey

Betty Joan Brailey, 91, of Parkersburg passed away February 8, 2021 at Stonerise Eagle Pointe Nursing Facility. She was born March 16, 1929 in Charleston, WV, a daughter of the late George and Helen Sullivan Joyce. She was a Registered Nurse and worked at St. Joseph’s Hospital and also in Aruba. While in Aruba she met her future husband, Donald L. Brailey. She liked to read and work in the garden. She attended St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church. Betty is survived by her daughters, Joyce Brailey of Rutland, Vermont, and Donna Brailey of Parkersburg; her son, John Brailey (Cindy) of Red Hook, New York; a sister, Patricia Duvall of Pennsylvania; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Donald L. Brailey; and a son, David Braily. As per her wishes there will be no visitation or services.
