Bettie Rose Linton

Bettie Rose Linton, of Belpre, Ohio passed away November 5, 2013 at Heartland of Marietta.She was born in Watertown, Ohio, a daughter of the late Garland C. Tatterson and Myrtle Walker Tatterson. Bettie was retired from Reagle & Padden Insurance Company after 20 years of service. She was a life member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority, and was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church in Belpre.Bettie is survived by her son, Michael Linton of Vincent, Ohio, two grandchildren, Melissa “Missy” Linton of Columbus, Ohio, and Jason Linton (Melissa) of Lewis Center, Ohio; one brother, Garland Tatterson Jr. (Betty) of Groveport, Ohio; her loving neighbor, Debbie Collins of Belpre, Ohio; and her two dogs, Max and Sadie.In addition to her parents Bettie was preceded in death by her husband, John C. Linton; a daughter-in-law, Cindy Linton; and one nephew, Eric Tatterson.A memorial service for Bettie will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, November 9, 2013 at St. Marks United Methodist Church at 3rd & Maple Streets in Belpre, Ohio with Rev. David Hubbard officiating. Burial will be in Rockland Cemetery at a later date. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services Saturday at the church.The Lambert-Tatman Funeral and Cremation Services, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre, Ohio is assisting the Linton family.
