Berta Rader

Berta Hein Rader, 81 of Elder Care, Ripley, W.Va., formerly of Mineral Wells, W.Va. passed away April 7, 2016 in Ripley. She was born September 30, 1934 in Germany, the daughter of the late Gustav and Rosa Hein. Berta worked at Yonkers Manufacturing as a seamstress and Ren-Dor Bowling Lanes for 18 years. She was a member of Lauckport Baptist Church. Berta, along with her sister-in-law became an American citizen on April 17, 1962. She is survived by three daughters, Patricia Moore (Jackie) of Copperas Cove, Texas, Cindy Meneon (Tom) of Warren, PA and Tamara Owens of Copperas, Texas; one son, Karl Rader (Kelley) of Lubeck, W.Va.; three sisters, Gertrude Rosenberger, Maria Mueoler and Hilga Hoffman all of Germany; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Silas Rader; and three brothers, Seppel, Karl and Willie Hein. A gathering of family and friends will be held on Monday, April 11, 2016 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St, Parkersburg, W.Va.
