Bernice Irene Coffield

Bernice Irene Coffield, 91, of Belpre, Ohio passed away August 17, 2012 after an extended stay at the Parkersburg Care and Rehabilitation Center.She was born on August 12, 1921 in Sand Hill, W.Va., a daughter of the late John W. McGlumphy and Blanche Secrist McGlumphy of St. Clairsville, Ohio.Bernice was a homemaker and a very active and supportive member of the Rockland United Methodist Church. She and her husband traveled extensively and spent their winters in Lakeland, Florida for many years.She is survived by her children, Donna J. Giddings of Belpre, Ohio and Robert W. Coffield and wife, Carole, of Midland, Michigan; grandchildren, Suellen M. Jacobsen (John), James M. Giddings (Angela), Amy L. Giddings, Kimberly A. West (Matt), and Tracey J. Coffield; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marion Coffield in 2001; two brothers; and two sisters.Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 21, 2012 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd., Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Jim Condrey officiating. Entombment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Reno, Ohio. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.The family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at the Parkersburg Care and Rehabilitation Center for all their loving care.In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Rockland United Methodist Church, 2300 Washington Blvd., Belpre, OH 45714.
