Arthur Lehman Lewis

Arthur Lehman Lewis, 77, of Belpre, Ohio passed away Friday, July 15, 2011 at his residence.He was born August 13, 1933 in Parkersburg, W.Va., a son of the late Alfred E. and Artie B. Baker Lewis.Arthur was retired from Elkem Metals and was a member of the Belpre Lions Club and North Parkersburg Baptist Church. He enjoyed camping, listening to country/western music and was an avid NASCAR fan with Jeff Gordon as his favorite driver.Arthur is survived by his six children, Arthur L. Lewis, Jr. and Rex P. Lewis, both of Gainesville, Georgia, Kathy R. Lewis of Columbus, Ohio, David W. Lewis of Gainesville, Georgia, Karon J. Busbey Lewis of Belpre, Ohio, and Michael A. Lewis of Gainesville, Georgia; his significant other, Willene Bacon, of Belpre, Ohio; one sister, Betty Williams, of Parkersburg, W.Va.; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Barbara Lee Lewis; one grandson; five brothers; and one sister.Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, July 18, 2011 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 1305 Washington Blvd. Belpre, Ohio with Pastor Tony Foreman officiating. Interment will follow at the Rockland Cemetery, Belpre. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
