Arthur LaVerne Hasty, Sr., 71, of Elizabeth, W.Va., passed away April 12, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.He was born May 22, 1941, in Ottawa, Kansas, a son of the late Willard and Mary Kerby Hasty.Arthur was a veteran of the U.S. Army and retired from the United School District #475 in Junction City, Kansas. He was a train collector and enjoyed auctions, fishing and hunting. He was a member and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Post 830, Junction City, Kansas.He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Patricia “Patty” Page Hasty; three children, Geraldine (John) Cammarn of Junction City, Kansas, Nancy ( Russell) Kinney of Elizabeth, W.Va., and Arthur L. (Sherri) Hasty Jr. of Cibolo, Tex.; four siblings, Willard Hasty of Topeka, Kanas, Patsy Devillier of Coffeyville, Kans., Marcellie Callarman of Chanute, Kansas and Thomas Hasty of San Antonio, Tex.; thirteen grandchildren, several great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his dog, Taco.Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at 24 Mockingbird Way, Elizabeth, W.Va.
