Arlene Marie Kerby, 87 of Parkersburg passed away December 14, 2013 at Marietta Care and Rehabilitation in Marietta, Ohio.She was born October 26, 1926 in Barbour County, W.Va. a daughter of the late Porter L and Audra Ervin Thorne. She had worked at Worthington Manor as a nursing assistant and was a member of the 36th Street Church of Christ in Vienna, W.Va. She enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, bells and angels. She was an lover of animals and especially enjoyed watching birds.Arlene is survived by a son, Michael Kerby and his wife, Cheriof Vienna, W.Va.; three daughters, Sarah Gregg andhusband, Leonard of Parkersburg, W.Va., Lesa Wigal and husband, Pete of Marietta, Ohio, and Marsha Woods and husband, Robert of Mabank, TX; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two brothers, Franklin and Arlen Thorne both of Belington, W.Va.; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Boyd Kerby; eight brothers; and two sisters.Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Mark Mason officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen North Cemetery. Visitation will be 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday and one hour prior to services Tuesday at the funeral home.
