Alexea Ellen Thorn

Alexea Ellen Thorn 77, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away August 4, 2013 at Camden Clark Medical Center, Memorial Campus.She was born January 10, 1936 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Russell R. Wiggins and Blanche R. Leasure Wiggins.Alexea was a homemaker, a member of the Cornerstone Gospel Church in Vienna, W.Va. and was very active in the church. She belonged to the Senior Citizens of Vienna and was a founding member of the Ladies Auxilliary of the Vienna Fire Dept.She is survived by her three children, Joey Allen Thorn (Anne) of Hagerstown, MD., Sherrie Ann McClead (Larry) of Vienna, W.Va., and Michael Kenneth Thorn (Donna) of Winston-Salem, N.C.; one brother, Daniel Wiggins (Nyla) of Vienna, W.Va.; one sister, Ethel Davis of Vienna, W.Va.; grandchildren, Joshua D. McClead of Vienna, W.Va., Jordan and Jared Thorn of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Katherine Thorn of Hagerstown, MD; and several nieces and nephews.In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph B. Thorn, whom passed away September 26, 2005; two brothers, Orville and John Wiggins; and two sisters, Wilma Staley and Nancy Stevens.Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 8, 2013 at the Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. Interment will follow at the Sunset Memory Gardens. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
