Alberta Irene Mace McVety, 82, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at Eagle Pointe. She was born May 16, 1928 in Parkersburg, a daughter of the late Frank and Bessie Barker Anderson.She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and formerly worked in nursing at St. Joseph's Hospital. Alberta enjoyed spending time with family & friends and gardening. She is survived by four children, Michael Mace (Sherry), and Dorothea Eaton (Stephen) all of Parkersburg, W.Va., Ruth Ann Haney (James) of Spring, Texas and James Andrew Mace of Parkersburg, W.Va.; grandchildren, Robert Darin Fox (Deanna) of Texas, Brian Wesley Fox of Columbus, Ohio, Aaron Seth Eaton, James Mace II, and Tyler Mace all of Parkersburg, W.Va., James Edward Mace of Columbus, Ohio, Logan Mace, and Whitney Mace of Parkersburg, W.Va., Kevin Mace (Amber) of Vienna, W.Va., Christopher Haney (Jennifer) of Connecticut, Annette Kniebal of Texas, and Jennifer Haney of Texas; and several great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob Andrew “Tim” Mace; son, Larry Gene Mace; brother, John Anderson; and grandson, Jonathan Eaton.
