Agnes L. Riffle

Agnes L. Whitefield Riffle 85, of Williamstown, W.Va., went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on July 9, 2011.She was born September 20, 1925, in Silver Point, Tenn., a daughter of the late Dewey Whitefield and Virginia Carter Whitefield.She was a lover of all children and a Sunday School Teacher for more than thirty years. Agnes was a member of the Cornerstone Gospel Church, and a member of the Arbor Day Foundation & Rain Forest Association. She was employed by the Diamond Match Company, Mohawk Tire and Rubber Company and a housekeeping manager for L & K Motel. She will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. She is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Wesley Riffle ; two sons, Wesley G. Riffle (Jackie); and Ronald E. Riffle; grandchildren, Amy, David, Angela, Christina and Sarah; also three wonderful great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Whitefield; and sister, Linda Gosset.She was proceeded in death by her father and mother, one sister, Lois Newsom; and two brothers, Lonnie Whitefield and Ray Dean Whitefield.Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2011, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 3005 Grand Central Ave. Vienna, W.Va. with Pastor Rick Kappel officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Williamstown, W.Va. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
