Aaron L. “Skinny” Skeen, 76, of Parkersburg, W.Va., passed away on December 20, 2012, at Marietta Memorial Hospital. He was born July 30, 1936, in Jackson Co., W.Va., a son of the late Gordon Howard and Doris Skeen. Aaron was a retired U.S. Air Force Master Sergeant with 22 years of service. He then retired from Borg Warner General Electric as a Chemical Operator with 20 years of service. He was a member of the DAV, American Legion Post 15 Parkersburg and VFW. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Lieselotte Bergner Skeen who was born, raised, and hails from Germany; one daughter, Delphia Scott and husband, Tim of Ravenswood, W.Va.; one sister, Karen Davis of Charleston, W.Va.; three brothers, Marvin Skeen and wife, Peggy of Alabama, Max Skeen and wife, Jonnieann, and Phillip Skeen and wife, Faye, both of Ripley, W.Va.; sister-in-law, Dorothy Skeen of North Carolina; four grandchildren, Joshua Aaron Anthony who is serving in the National Guard and his wife, Francine of Charleston, W.Va., Ronald Glen Anthony and his wife, Gabbi who are both serving in the U.S. Navy of Norfolk, Va., Brandon Ray Scott and Tiffany Brooke Scott, both of Ravenswood, W.Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Eythen Aaron-Thomas Anthony, Arwen Dawn Anthony and Aaron Jaxton Anthony. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles Skeen and Allan Skeen; one sister, Delphia Fleck; and one son-in-law, Ronald Glenn Anthony. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 23, 2012 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike St., Parkersburg, W.Va. with Rev. Dr. William R. Thomas officiating. Interment will follow at Goshen Cemetery in Kentuck, W.Va. Visitation will be 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
